Manzanar National Historic Site Interpretive Center

Manzanar National Historic Site Interpretive Center is 6 mi. s. at 5001 US 395. The center is in the restored high school gymnasium/auditorium. A 22-minute movie provides an overview of Manzanar’s history, with many stories told in voice-overs by Manzanar internees. The exhibits tell the story of the Japanese American incarceration experience as well as the history of the site’s Native Americans and farming and ranching communities.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
