Autry Museum of the American West is at 4700 Western Heritage Way in Griffith Park. The museum uses art, artifacts and audiovisual materials to present the history of America’s westward movement and its depiction on the big and small screens. Permanent and changing exhibits, including the Southwest Museum of the American Indian Collection, feature more than 500,000 Native American artifacts and pieces of fine art. Also on-site are an ethnobotanical garden, a research library and a theater showing movies and live performances.

Guided tours are available. Food is available.

$14; $10 (ages 60+ and students with ID); $6 (ages 3-12); free (for active military, veterans, peace officers and park rangers with current ID, and to all on second Tues. of the month).
