Exposition Park, at 700 Exposition Park Dr. and bounded by Figueroa St., Exposition Blvd., Vermont Ave. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., is a 160-acre cultural and recreation tract. It is home to museums as well as venues constructed for the 1932 and 1984 Summer Olympics. EXPO Center features recreational facilities and an amphitheater. A pedestrian pathway connects the various attractions. Also on the park grounds is a 7-acre sunken rose garden, where 20,000 specimens of 190 varieties are cultivated; it is closed January through mid-March for pruning.
