Point Vicente Interpretive Center is at 31501 Palos Verdes Dr. W. The center interprets the human and natural history of the Palos Verdes Peninsula with such exhibits as a tide pool; a walkthrough simulated cave with rock samples and a large fossilized shark skeleton; a Tongva Indian dwelling and artifacts; and a 15-foot-long anatomical model of a gray whale.

Set on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the center’s Outdoor Amphitheater offers excellent views of the winter gray whale migration.

Picnic tables are available.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
