The FIDM Museum & Galleries is at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) at 919 S. Grand Ave. Portions of the collection of more than 15,000 costumes, textiles and accessories dating to the 1700s are displayed on a rotating basis.
Special exhibitions throughout the year include February through April's annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition featuring original costumes from films nominated for the Academy Award in the Best Costume Design category. The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design exhibition is presented August through October.
Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
