AAA Editor Notes
Will Rogers State Historic Park is 186.5 acres at 1501 Will Rogers State Park Rd. Cowboy humorist, columnist, radio commentator, actor, philanthropist and aviation enthusiast Will Rogers bought and began developing the property into his ranch in 1924 and lived here from 1928 until his death in 1935. The Western-style furnishing of the 31-room ranch-style house include Native American rugs and blankets, bronzes and watercolors by Charles Russell, etchings and paintings by Ed Borein, and original Monterey furniture.

The restoration of the house and the stables was completed in 2006, but restoration of the grounds and outbuildings to their appearance during Rogers's ownership continues. On the grounds are a hay barn, blacksmith/carpenter shop, foreman’s house, roping arena and polo field, as well as hiking trails and picnic facilities. Guided horseback tours are available.

Guided tours are available.
