Pros: Great Location. Lobby and common areas have a great historic feel.
Cons: I understand this hotel has a lot of history, but despite that I still felt as though the rooms and hallways were lacking. This hotel markets itself as a luxury hotel, but in reality the rooms are very basic and mediocre. The in-room amenties were little to none, and it failed to provide the little perks (i.e bathrobe and/or hotel slippers) that distinguish a luxury hotel from a 3-star. Moreover, there is only valet parking which is a bit expensive ($40 + tip for valet dude). I'd reccomend parking in the pershing square lot which is about one block away and only cost $16 for overnight parking.

Pros: Comfortable room with excellent room service, bell and valet services!
Cons: Bathroom could be renovated. The vent in bathroom needs to be replaced and on a separate switch. Being on the 3rd floor facing the electrical/air conditioning bldg. was kind of hard to fall asleep with its noise.

Pros: I loved being in the art deco environment and the attention to history in the building. The style of the hotel's early years is conserved beautifully in the lobby, court and all the public areas. It brings you to another time. The hall with photos is wonderful. High tea is lovely and having a drink in the bar sublime. The rooms are well appointed, clean and attractively, but not cloyingly, decorated to reflect the period. The location is great to visit museums, the Music Center and the central market. The staff is attentive and helpful. Didn't eat there so can't comment on restaurants.
Cons: We had a wonderful stay and couldn't have been happier with the experience.
