Merced County Courthouse Museum

Merced County Courthouse Museum, 21st and N sts., is in the Old County Courthouse, one of the oldest buildings in the state. The 1875 three-story Italianate structure, which resembles the state Capitol building, houses exhibits about Merced County history and the Central Valley pioneers who settled the area. Permanent exhibits include a turn-of-the-20th-century classroom, a courtroom, a Chinese temple and a blacksmith shop.
