Pros: Experience could not have been better
Cons: We are transplanted Easterners, and still prefer a civilized excursion from LA to Santa Barbara via train rather than car. Santa Barbara is a wonderful town where you really don't need a car. We had a very nice time, but were in Montecito only because the visit was a last minute impulse and we were unable to get into one of the downtown hotels within walking distance of the station. That said, the hotel was very nice and have no complaints.
