Monterey Bay Whale Watch departs from 84 Fisherman's Wharf. A marine biologist/naturalist is on board to describe the behavior of various marine animals seen on the trip. Depending on the season, visitors have the opportunity to spot gray, humpback, blue and killer whales as well as dolphins, porpoises, sea otters, seals, sea lions and sea birds.

Visitors are advised to dress warmly and bring sunscreen. Photography is permitted. Allow a half-day minimum.

Admission
Full-day trips $155. All-day trips $115. Four- to 5-hour morning trips $49; $39 (ages 4-12); $15 (ages 0-3). Three- to 4-hour afternoon trips and 3-hour evening trips $45; $29 (ages 4-12); $15 (ages 0-3). Three-hour winter and spring trips $44; $29 (ages 4-12); $15 (ages 0-3). Guests should arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. Reservations are required.

Full-day (12-hour) trips for ages 12+ depart at 7:30 on select days July-Nov.All-day (8-hour) trips for ages 12+ depart daily at 8, mid-Apr. to mid-May. Four- to 5-hour morning trips depart daily at 9, early Apr. to mid-Dec. Three- to 4-hour afternoon trips depart daily at 2, early Apr. through Nov. 30; Sat.-Sun. at 2, Dec. 1 to mid-Dec. Three-hour evening trips depart Sat.-Sun. in June and daily in July at 5:30. Three-hour winter and spring trips depart daily at 10 and 1:30 (also some weekends and holidays at 7 a.m.), mid-Dec. to mid-Apr. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
