Pros: Beach. Pool, DJs, Bar were all fantastic
Cons: Room 129, dark, noisy, humid room. Room did not get cleaned for two night. Big bites on myself and son, not sure if it was a coincidence.

Pros: Loved the location, beach, pool.
Cons: Absolutely hate the tiny bathroom. 4 people and no privacy when getting dressed. No counter space around sink. It would not be worth the full price to stay there.

Pros: We had a ocean view and hearing the crashing waves was beautiful and soothing.
Cons: Too many transients people walking around. There were too many people walking back and forth late at night. The resturant and bar operates separately from the hotel, so the hotel staff dosen't the know there is a DJ & outdoor party, until they set up the hour before. The room is average and not worth the price that I paid. I just left a previous hotel (which I paid less for 3 start) and was more high end than this one. I had to have them re-key my room key 3 times, before I could get in my room.

Pros: Staff was helpful and pleasant.
Cons: All right. Here is the thing: Monterrey Tides is NOT in Monterrey. It’s in Seaside, appears to be a little sketchy. It is the only hotel on the beach. I splurged to get an oceanfront room; however was surprised to find out that all rooms have exterior entrances on the front. This means no balcony and if I want to see the ocean I am also seeing other guests and hotel staff constantly walking past my room. So if I want ocean, or even daylight, there is absolutely NO PRIVACY. Also the rooms are painted dark blue; so again, if I want to see, I am forfeiting privacy. The rooms themselves were small, dark, a little dingy and generally a little icky. There were guests in the courtyard area just below my room past midnight. We cut our visit short here and spent the rest of our vacation in Monterrey, which was MUCH MUCH nicer. The staff was super nice; but I thought I was booking a pseudo luxury boutique hotel in Monterrey. Instead I was at a somewhat rundown motel on the edge of town. Sorry, Monterrey Tides!
