Computer History Museum is just n. off US 101 Shoreline Blvd. exit at 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd. Appropriately located in Silicon Valley, the museum is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of computing history. Revolution: The First 2000 Years of Computing chronicles the evolution and impact of computing from the ancient abacus to the contemporary smartphone. This multimedia experience includes computer hardware, software and documentation as well as computer-generated ephemera, photographs and moving images. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$15; $12 (ages 65+ and students and military with ID); free (ages 0-12).
Hours: Tues.-Sun. 10-5 (also Fri. 5-9), late June-Aug. 31; Wed.-Sun. 10-5 (also Fri. 5-9), rest of year.
