Skyline Wilderness Park is 1.4 mi. e. of Soscol Ave. on Imola Ave. This 900-acre wilderness park in Napa Valley offers 26 miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, camping (RV, tent and horse), picnicking, bird-watching and wildlife viewing, an archery range, two disc golf courses, geocaching, a horse arena with a trails course, and—last but not least—an abundance of scenic views. Wild turkeys and deer are among the animal residents. A self-guiding tour of the 2.5-acre Martha Walker Native Habitat Garden includes plants found in the Napa Valley and the surrounding region. Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
$5 per private vehicle (up to four people) plus $1 for each additional passenger. Fees apply for some activities.
Hours: Daily 8-7, mid-Mar through Sept. 30; 8-6, in Oct.; 8-5, rest of year. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
