Pros: The bed and room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel very clean and looked attractive
Cons: The service from the staff was consistently begrudging and not helpful. The front desk staff alternated between really pleasant, but always acting like they didn't know what to do next or how to help us check into our rooms on time. Anytime we asked for advice it was met with an unfriendly "I don't know" look. We arrived a couple hours early, and I understand our rooms not being ready at that time, but when we asked when they might be ready the front desk person simply replied "sometime between now and your check in time". I'm not saying it is their fault if that information is not available, but there really should be some type of way in the system to see how many rooms have been made ready and how many might need to be finished. The concierge gave us incorrect information regarding spa usage, and could only google local things for us or generally point to a map of restaurants and say we should eat there somewhere. When we tried to use the spa the people there said very rudely to us that the concierge had given us wrong information, and that they would make sure to report her right away. This made us feel TERRIBLE as the concierge had been so nice and had been the first real smile we'd seen in the entire hotel, and now we were explicitly told that we had gotten them in trouble. The spa desk agent then told us VERY rudely that there was nothing they could do and that if we didn't have an appointment we should leave. That night there was a very large wedding, blasting music throughout the entire property. Overall even though the property itself was lovely, it definitely wasn't the romantic getaway that we had wanted, given the service and location, and the next day we were very eager to checkout without spending too much additional time on the property.

Pros: Very nice room. Thank you for the Complimentary wine. Desk staff very pleasant and efficient.
Cons: Balcony , for which I paid an added amount, was dirty and unpleasant because of bird drippings and unclean furniture. Hall carpeting needs to be cleaned because it detracts from the sense of elegance. Some aggravation at check in at the spa.
solo traveller
Pros: the welcome at reception was fantastic and when i needed anything from the staff they couldn't do enough for me. the gym was great and the room very comfortable.
Cons: the pool was a little small, i managed to grab one of the last beds available or i would have had to miss out on some pool time.

Pros: Beautiful spot Close to downtown
Cons: Drive to the wineries, Traffic Would have been nicer to be close to Oakville
mature couple
Pros: Room and pool ambience was lovely. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Food quality was superb. Late night bowling alley and bar was a bonus.
Cons: Hotel was quite dated in decor, especially the restaurant but oddly the hotel is in some kind of industrial park so the surroundings are pretty poor. Cost of most things was too high. Dinner was expensive (but nice) and the spa prices were actually so high it was a joke (so we didn't use it in the end). Hotel isn't worth the price overall, especially as the location isn't that special.
