The cozy restaurant near Balboa Island, Newport Harbor and Fashion Island—one of the area's premier shopping venues—opened in 1989 and has been serving a variety of popular Mediterranean dishes ever since. Menu items include the chef’s signature “penne otero” (the pasta comes bathed in a tomato cream sauce with fresh tarragon, bits of bacon and cognac), bow-tie pasta with fresh salmon, and veal scaloppini piccata, among many others. Desserts include a classic tiramisu. Parking is limited.
