Besides the very loud location of my room, I also interacted with two hotel staff that were quite brash, bordering on rude. When asking questions they were unfriendly and unhelpful. Two other staff members I interacted with, in contrast, were very friendly and accommodating--this hotel just seems poorly organized without well-maintained quality control, and is in desperate need of upgrades and customer service training.
Pros: The location of this hotel was excellent, near the coastal path, Pacific Grove, the Aquarium, etc. It was one of the cheaper options available (though still over-priced for the experience).
Cons: I was put in room 106, which was directly behind the elevator and the ice machine, both of which were incredibly loud. The room also had poor ventilation, and in fact the heater was constantly releasing small amounts of warm air even when it was off.

Power failure before 7:00 AM(no hot water for morning shower) electricity not back on by 6:00 PM, so before there was no light checked out and looks as if they are charging me for the night anyway.

Cons: room that was not livable! noise from old elevator was outrageous, fridge buzzed like an alarm clock, bed was like laying on the floor(too stained to actual try). Did get to a better room but no electricity to enjoy.

Pros: right near the beach. easy walk to cannery row about 1.4 miles. stayed on third floor and had a fairly good view of the ocean. staff at check in were great with info we asked for. we tried free internet and worked good
Cons: bathroom was small. going to the parking underground via the elevator was a little creaky.

Pros: Location, location, location...right by Lovers Point. Good continental breakfast in the morning.
Cons: Had an old fashioned heater in the room that was not consistent in heating. Got too hot to quickly. Dangerous with children. The electricity went out twice one day and there was a water leak from the exhaust fan in my bathroom.

Pros: The one and only thing good about this hotel was its location. Lovers point beach is awesome. Within minutes for most attractions.

Pros: The location is perfect. Pacific Grove is a great place to enjoy the area from. We walked the 1.2 mile trail to Monterrey Bay Aquarium. Lovely.

Pros: 1. The hotel is at nice location. 2. They maintained drinking water in office lobby which was very convenient. 3. Breakfast choices were pretty decent.
Cons: 1. The toilet was very crammed for space. 2. Parking was inconvenient. They had closed the parking exit and entrance was used as exit. And they had a steep slope downwards from road into the parking garage which was very dark making it difficult to see.

Pros: Location, location, location. Right across the street from beautiful Lover's Point Park. Incredible views of the Bay and trails along it. Very near Monterrey Bay Aquarium, 17 Mile Drive.

Pros: Location location location. The third floor has a view of the ocean and trees Yeah for free internet and parking!
Cons: It needs updating and the air conditioning wouldn't go on so we were very hot. I tried to adjust but nothing seemed to help.
Cons: The breakfast was lacking and we skipped. If I had been on my own I probably would have eaten there, but my husband wanted something more substantial. The coffee wasn't great.

Pros: The location was the only good thing about this inn.
Cons: The room and carpets were old, outdated, and dingy. The heater didn't work and it's really cold by the ocean. The female staff attendant while checking in was loud, unprofessional and rude. We were inconvenienced when the room keys didn't work. ugh!

Cons: Limited outside parking. They only have 14 outside spaces and you are told to park on the street until one becomes available. This will not work on a peak day as there is zero parking on the street. They do have a parking garage. It is very dark and hard to maneuver. The incline to get in is so steep that if you are driving a lower vehicle you will scrap and potentially get stuck. We were in a camaro and scrapped.

Great location but poor view
Pros: The location of this property is great for access to the beach and trail that runs through lover's point. Just a short walk away you can see seals basking on the rocks and dolphins in the bay. Cannery row is about a mile away which provides tons of shopping and site seeing. The aquarium is a must! My only complaint was that half of the building is blocked by a hotel in front of it and has no beach views. We were stuck with a parking lot view that was not what we were expecting. Ask for a room as close to the office as possible for the best view. The rooms had been updated somewhat and the bed and linens were wonderful. The rest of the room felt dated and the bathroom was tiny and did not have a fan. The staff was busy with renovation business when we were checking in and out and seemed a bit unorganized. I think someone's son checked us in. But they were polite and courteous. The value would have been good if we had a view but was overpriced for what we got.
Cons: The view from half of the building is of the parking lot. The rooms and bathrooms are small.

Pros: We had a room on the third floor and it was very quaint and comfortable! The bathroom is small but the shower is standard sized and the bed was very comfortable. Very clean, nice staff, beautiful location. We were fortunate enough to snag a parking spot outside on the side the inn and not in that scary little parking garage, so parking is convenient if you can get an outside parking spot! The building looks very old but the rooms are modern. I've seen some complaints about the breakfast but it was fine; just a good, filling, standard hotel breakfast. And the coffee machine in the room could be used free of charge!
Cons: The air conditioner was broken (but there are two fans in the room as well); very narrow, scary parking garage; the room itself is kind of small but it wasn't a huge deal

Pros: Great location. Just on the coastal trail. Amazing views at sunrise. Just walk around the corner and watch the sunset!
