Classic. Established in 1920, this is Pasadena's longest-operating restaurant. Festively decorated, it offers an excellent variety of authentic, traditional Mexican dishes. The lengthy menu boasts homemade soups, tamales, tortillas and salsas, which are prepared fresh daily using a volcanic stone molcajete. House specialties include chile Colorado, chile verde, crab enchiladas and bistec picado. Traditional Mexican breakfast dishes are available all day, and Sunday offers a very popular brunch buffet for the whole family.
