Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park, .7 mi. e. on Adobe Rd., preserves the large adobe ranch headquarters built by General Mariano Vallejo about 1836. Exhibits include furnished rooms, weaving tools, outdoor ovens, live animals and interpretive displays. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$3 (includes house); $2 (ages 6-17).
Hours: Tues.-Sun. 10-5. Building closes at 4:30. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
