AAA Editor Notes
Porterville Historical Museum, 257 N. D St., is housed in a 1913 Southern Pacific passenger station. The museum's exhibits include vignettes of a dentist's office, drug store and attorney's office. China, glassware, furniture, dolls, quilts, military memorabilia and Native American artifacts, including baskets created by Yokuts, are displayed.

Thurs.-Sat. 9-3, June-Sept.; 10-4, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, during Porterville Fair Week in May, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
