San Mateo County History Museum is at 2200 Broadway. Housed in a 1910 building that was formerly a courthouse, the museum's permanent exhibits depict the history of the San Francisco Peninsula beginning with the Ohlone Indians. Nature's Bounty explains the utilization of the area's natural resources. A courtroom, in use until 1998, retains the witness stand, judge's bench and jury box. Other exhibits include a 40-foot virtual wave known as Maverick's Waverider and History Making Entrepreneurs, which surveys companies like Electronic Arts and Intel.
