Lady Bird Johnson Grove

Lady Bird Johnson Grove is 1 mi. n. of Orick, then 3 mi. e. on Bald Hills Rd. following signs. The grove features a 1-mile, self-guiding loop trail through a mature grove of coastal redwoods that passes a plaque marking the site where Lady Bird Johnson dedicated the park in 1968. A lush understory of rhododendrons and sword ferns grows here.

Note: Bald Hills Road has many sharp turns; motor homes and trailers are not recommended.
