California Citrus State Historic Park, Van Buren Blvd. at 9400 Dufferin Ave., is a 250-acre park that includes 180 acres of citrus groves. There is a replica of a middle-class house typical of those occupied by growers during the early 1900s, when “citrus was king” in California. Walking trails and a picnic area also are available. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
$5 (per private vehicle); $4 (ages 62+ per private vehicle).
Hours: Park open daily 8-5 (also Sat.-Sun. 5-7, Apr.-Sept.). Visitor center/museum open Fri.-Sun. 10-4. Guided grove tours depart Fri.-Sun. at 10:30, noon and 2.
