The Mission Inn Museum, 3696 Main St., reflects California Mission Revival architecture. Buildings and courtyards brim with antique bells, stained glass, statues, paintings and gardens. The first wing was built 1902-03. St. Francis Chapel contains a massive gold-leaf Mexican altar screen, or retablo, and seven Tiffany stained-glass windows. The small museum relates the history of the inn and the city.
