Just a 10-minute drive from downtown Sacramento, this restaurant is on the Sacramento River. Park at the top and walk the jet way (originally from the San Francisco International Airport) down to this very casual restaurant built on a barge. Serving patrons for decades, a few smoked specialties, such as sturgeon and salmon, as well as salads and sandwiches are offered. The restaurant offers some Cajun preparations, too. Breakfast is offered on Saturday and Sunday. Plan to arrive early or expect a wait. Large windows afford views of the sunset and the outdoor patio is open in season. A dock is available for those arriving by boat.
