The San Diego Museum of Man is at 1350 El Prado in Balboa Park. Permanent exhibits in this anthropology museum explore the Maya, ancient Egypt and the Kumeyaay Indians as well as legendary monsters, racial topics and cannibalism. Exhibits also highlight evolution. A 40-minute guided tour of the California Tower is available. Guided tours are available.
$12.50; $10 (ages 62+ and active and retired military with ID); $8 (ages 13-17 and students with ID); $6 (ages 3-12 and college students with ID). California Tower Tour additional $10; reservations are required. Museum and cannibals exhibit $20; $17 (ages 62+ and active and retired military with ID); $15 (ages 13-17 and college students with ID); $12.50 (ages 3-12). Combination and multiday tickets are available with participating Balboa Park attractions.
Hours: Daily 10-8:30, Memorial Day-Labor Day; 10-5, rest of year. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
