Villa Montezuma Museum

Villa Montezuma Museum, 1925 K St. at 20th St., e. of the Gaslamp Quarter in the Sherman Heights Historic District, is a Queen Anne style “Painted Lady” built in 1887 for author and musician Jesse Shephard. The house features an onion dome, roof-top gargoyles, exotic exteriors, ornate interiors and art-glass windows.
