This luxury resort offers sumptuous accommodations midst nature's beauty of the Los Penasquitos Canyon. The grand entrance depicts a Mediterranean estate with its glorified fountains. You will find throughout the property graceful archways, tasteful ornate stone and decorative columns, plush furnishings and a grand staircase with wrought iron and gold leaf accents at each end of the major hallways. The stylish rooms are elegant; the gold and yellow soft tones, inlaid ceiling trims, high-grade linens and luxury pillows, rich dark wood furnishings and gold-framed flat-screen TVs remind you of times gone by. Pros: Exceptional service by front desk and pool staff. Very professional and helpful concierge.
Cons: Food is not 5 star! the French restaurant was not consistent with the rest of the resort.. avoid it! Each time we asked for a ride to nearby attraction, the shuttle was busy! I spent over $500 in 4 days for taxis!

Pros: From The reception at the main door all the way to check in, room service, pool service, spa service, every single detail of the service of this hotel is AMAZING.

Pros: They have an outstanding staff. Our housekeeper Connie did a lovely job and added so many nice little subtle touches. The valet (while pricey) staff were extremely efficient. The staff and service at the pools was world class. And the additional touch of butlering fresh watermelon wedges and minted cucumber slices hit the spot.
Cons: The food in the restaurants was disappointing.
