Pros: The building is amazing. It was nice to see some of the original 1890 masonry in the room. The location is perefect, being in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter.
Cons: The TV in the "living room" of our suite was not functional. When I called the front desk about how to use it, I was informed that it was broken and they are waiting on a replacement part. It would have been nice to know in advance.

Pros: The staff is probably one of the best I've been around. Fantastically-trained, polite, and very accommodating.
Cons: The only negative was that the TV remote didn't work. Someone came up and replaced it promptly, but we still had issues. It didn't dampen our experience at all, though, and I'm sure it will have been addressed by now.

Pros: Cool industrial design
Cons: The shower design didn't include a door, and the shower head was so close to the opening that water splashed out onto the concrete floor, and ran all the way to my luggage on the other side of the room, getting my bags wet

Great location, dirty rooms
Pros: The front desk employees were fantastic. Extremely friendly and provided great customer service and I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was in the middle of the Gas Lamp District.
Cons: I was not fond of the initial room we booked, it was very small, the toilet was in a separate room but the shower was in the same room as the bed. The closet furniture in the room was very flimsey and did not slide as they were supposed to. There was candy/snacks in the room you could purchase that had a thick layer of dust on the packaging. We had to pay an extra $135 to upgrade to one of the larger rooms. The upgraded room was much more enjoyable as it was obviously larger, had a corner view of the entire street intersection, a rainfall shower, a jacuzzi tub, was sized and designed like a 1 bedroom apartment without a kitchen. However, this room was also dirty. The window seating (a couch that curved with the windows/wall) had stains ALL over it, the seat cushions and the back rest cushions. I couldn't bring myself to sit on it. The jacuzzi tub had a dirt ring around it where the water line was last filled to. I was extremely disappointed to have a dirty room. Especially considering the amount of money we spent.
