This romantic, Little Italy eatery was one of the first restaurants to open in this San Diego neighborhood back in 2003, and it has been serving classic Italian fare ever since. Italian-speaking staffers welcome diners to the rustic space, its walls adorned with works from local artists. Specialties include risotto with asparagus and porcini mushrooms, ear-shaped pasta with broccoli rabe, sausage and chopped tomatoes, and a veal shank slow-braised in red wine and served atop saffron rice. Save room for the house-made tiramisu for dessert.
