This romantic, San Francisco-style eatery was one of the first restaurants to open in San Diego’s Little Italy back in 2003, and it has been serving classic Italian fare ever since. Italian-speaking staffers welcome diners to the rustic space, its walls adorned with works from local artists. Specialties include risotto with asparagus and porcini mushrooms; ear-shaped pasta with broccoli rabe, sausage and chopped tomatoes; and a veal shank slow-braised in red wine and served atop saffron rice. Save room for the house-made tiramisu for dessert.
