Children's Creativity Museum is at 221 Fourth St. at jct. Howard St., in the Yerba Buena Gardens complex. This innovative arts and technology museum, geared to kids and their families, offers hands-on opportunities to create movies, music and art. They can create a clay animation, produce and/or star in a music video and learn about digital art. A highlight is the restored 1906 Looff carousel that operated for more than 50 years at the city's Playland-at-the-Beach amusement park. Recreational activities are permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
$12; free (under 2). Two rides on the carousel $4; $3 (with paid museum admission).
Hours: Tues.-Sun. 10-4, in summer; Wed.-Sun. 10-4, during the school year. Carousel daily 10-5; last ride is at 4:55. Phone to confirm carousel schedule. Closed major holidays.
