This small but very well-curated museum focuses on the San Francisco Bay Area's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender history from the late 19th century to the present. Exhibits, artifacts and multimedia presentations explore such deeply human themes as the search for companionship, the value of individual expression and the struggle for respect and equality in an often-hostile society. Note: Some displays include sexually themed material. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
