The Beat Museum is at 540 Broadway at Columbus Ave. This small North Beach museum traces the Beat Generation, the literary counterculture of the 1950s that included influential writers Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs. Visitors will see memorabilia from that era, vintage photographs and first editions of books by Beat writers, including a copy of Allen Ginsburg's “Howl.”
$8; $5 (students with ID and senior citizens).
