Mediocre hotel with a great...
Pros: The location here is really hard to beat. It's not a particularly cozy or charming neighborhood—it's the financial district—but it's central and convenient to museums, restaurants, and a million Starbucks and drug stores. (Valet parking at the hotel is $52, but we found $36 a day at a public lot two blocks away.)
Cons: The biggest problem for me was the smell—the room had a pervasive cleaning product smell that really bothered me. We bought Febreze and a candle and that helped a lot, but the smell was really unpleasant when we first arrived. Otherwise, know that the photos give you the impression of a nicer hotel than this actually is. It's... fine. But it's not luxe or beautiful. The decor is very bright and busy and kind of outdated. It looks a little cheap. Our bed was saggy, but not uncomfortable.

I had a comfortable stay...
Pros: The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The coffee in the morning was fresh. The location was central to walking anywhere I wanted to go. I was pleased to find glass tumblors in the bathroom and wine style glasses for drinking in the room instead of the flimsy plastic that has become so common.
Cons: I would have liked a chair other than the desk chair or bed to sit in while I was relaxing. The bathroom counter was a little too small for more than one person.
