When crab's in season, I often get a whole tamarind crab and a bowl of rice, take them home, use my hands and go at it. Messy and so good!

The vibe at this neighborhood spot is cheery and homey. Pho and imperial rolls are tasty, but the grilled clams and crab dishes are where the chefs shine. Plump, slightly chewy and sweet, the clam is simply grilled with garlic and scallion and served with sweet fish sauce. Instead of the usual salt and pepper crab, try the bold sweet, sour, slightly spicy tamarind sauce or the less sour fragrant basil sauce crab. Ladle the sauce over the rice, and dig in. It's addictive!
