Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center, 211 Stearns Wharf, has the look of a working marine laboratory. Visitors experience hands-on immersion in the work of the scientists who explore, monitor and discover ways to preserve our oceans. Children may crawl through a 1,500-gallon tide pool tank to see ocean life from a different perspective. Hands-on close encounters with sea creatures, a shark touch pool, and interactive touch screens enhance the visit.
