This hotel is definitely not a 'bad' hotel, by any means. The reason I've rated it so low is because it has a Hilton flag, and definitely falls short of what I expect from that brand. The rooms felt dated and dirty. There was an odd odor in the halls and in our room. There were no USB outlets anywhere in the room, and the front desk didn't have an adapter on hand. I stayed here rather than other hotels and motels in town because it was a last minute stay, the Hyatt was booked, and I didn't want to research the hotels that showed up. So I figured Hilton would be a safe choice, even if it was $30 more than others in the category. It ended up being significantly less impressive than the 40+ other Hiltons I've stayed at, and I would have been just as happy at a Holiday Inn for less.
Pros: Location was good. Property was beautiful. Conveniently located for Santa Rosa, while being a bit outside of town and a bit more peaceful.
Cons: Felt dated and dirty. Definitely did not feel like a Hilton ¿ barely felt like one of their lower-tier properties, and certainly didn't meet my expectations for a true Hilton.

Hotel needs upgrades- carpet, lighting -and attitude upgrade. Food mediocre.
Pros: The convenient location just off highway 101.
Cons: They were in an ongoing process of gouging for higher room rates due to an influx of over 10,000 people evacuated by the Valley fire. Also undertrained staff.

Pros: The location is unbeatable--close to shopping, access to freeway (but not noisy), great pool. Large comfortable rooms. Free parking (compare this to San Francisco!)
Cons: Nothing
