Pros: Nice breakfast included in the price.
Cons: The guy at reception was curt with people in general. You need the car to get to downtown Monterey

Pros: Best sleep ever the beds were so comfortable. Staff also lovely.
Cons: Breakfast set up not great. Location a bit further out than I thought but was super easy to hop in an uber in Monterey

Pros: The best things about this motel are 1) proximity to Target where we wanted to do a bit of shopping and 2) the fabulous pizza and pasta restaurant next door, Gusto. Had the mushroom / gorgonzola ravioli which I would happily go back for more of on any day! Also, the motel was minutes from both Monterey and Carmel which was the reason I chose it.
Cons: I really didn't expect it to be smack dab in a shopping area and quite so basic. It got the job done in terms of a night's accommodation, but I'm sorry it was really very charmless and the property felt a bit neglected. I wasn't expecting a lot, but even so I have to say I was disappointed. We stayed in 13 hotels during our 19-day stay in the US this summer and this one took last place in our ranking. Sorry.
