Kentucky Mine Park and Museum

Kentucky Mine Park and Museum, .5 mi. e. via SR 49 in Sierra County Historical Park, is on the site of a hard-rock gold mine. Guided 1-hour walking tours go from the mine portal through an operable ten stamp mill. Tools, photographs, documents and mineral samples displayed in the museum depict mining-camp life during California's gold rush era. Other exhibits include Native American and Chinese artifacts. Concerts take place Saturday evenings early July through August in an outdoor amphitheater; phone for concert information.
