Pros: First time that I have stayed in Tahoe in 4 years it was wonderful just the mini vacation me and my girlfriend needed two recharge. We will definitely be back, the facility was great all the amenities and activities they had were awesome by far the best hotel experience I've ever had.
Cons: Not sure if it was Marriott's fault, or booking.com fault, but I was told by booking.com that I did not have to put any money down when I reserved online, I get to Marriott the day of my stay and come to find out that my reservation was going to be cancelled because Marriott tried to charge my card. Whatever amount they were trying to charge did not go through. If they would have had my phone number or email they would have contacted me and told me that they had canceled my reservation. Apparently booking.com was supposed to tell me that my reservation was canceled, when I check my reservation on booking.com all seemed well it wasn't until I arrived at the front desk that I was told my reservation was in limbo and then I should have been contacted by somebody. Booking.com told me I did not have to put any money down so I was not expecting any charges on my card until I arrived. Also I had to pay the full amount upfront, something else that was not made aware to me by booking.com, again they told me I had to put no money down, normally you have to pay a deposit and then you pay for your stay at the end. It was explained to me on arrival the terms of of the deal were you had to pay the full amount upfront. I Did not receive any literature about this. Again this was not made aware to me by Marriott or booking.com until I am standing in front of the receptionist. If I had known all these things I would have been more prepared Instead of me and my girlfriend standing in front of the counter looking very embarrassed, and stressed out. Not a good way to start our vacation. Don't think I will be using booking.com again after this particular experience.
