AAA Editor Notes
The Haggin Museum is .3 mi. n. of I-5 exit 473 (Pershing Ave.) to 1201 N. Pershing Ave. at Rose St., following signs. It contains 19th-century American and European paintings as well as local historical artifacts. Works by Albert Bierstadt, George Inness, “Golden Age” illustrator J.C. Leyendecker and Pierre Auguste Renoir are exhibited. Native American baskets; a Holt tractor and combine harvester, both developed locally; and reconstructed interiors of several turn-of-the-20th-century businesses are highlights. Touring exhibitions also are presented.
