Tahoe Maritime Museum is at 401 W. Lake Blvd. at jct. Granlibakken Rd. The boating history of Lake Tahoe is presented at this museum, which showcases watercraft and maritime artifacts from the lake's past. The museum features several vessels in its featured exhibit and many more in a museum annex that can be viewed once a month during summer open houses; some vessels and motors date to the late 19th century. The museum also has a children's area and an art exhibit. Boat rides aboard a 22-foot wooden runabout are available in summer months.
