Hellman-Ehrman Mansion is on SR 89 in Ed Z'berg-Sugar Pine Point State Park. The two-story Queen Anne-style mansion known as Pine Lodge was built in 1902 for San Francisco banker Isaias W. Hellman and is a fine example of a Tahoe summer house. Exhibits pertaining to the Hellman-Ehrman family can be seen on the second floor. On the grounds are an 1870 cabin, a nature center and nature trails.
Guided tours are available.
Park entrance $10 (per private vehicle); $9 (ages 62+ per private vehicle). Mansion tour $10; $8 (ages 6-17).
Hours: Park interpretive specialists conduct guided 45-minute tours of the mansion daily on the half-hour 10:30-3:30, mid-June through Sept. 30; Mon.-Fri. at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30, Sat.-Sun. on the half-hour 10:30-3:30, late May to mid-June.
