Mineral King (Sequoia) is 25 mi. e. of Three Rivers via Mineral King Rd. and a steep, narrow, winding and partially paved road. Once a silver-mining area, this remote and peaceful valley retreat starts at an altitude of 7,500 feet, lying in the shadow of the Great Western Divide's towering peaks.
Picnic tables and grills are available near the ranger's station. Note: The area is unsuitable for RVs (trailers and vehicles longer than 22 feet are not permitted) and is inaccessible in winter.
