AAA Editor Notes
Moro Rock (Sequoia), 3 mi. by narrow road or hiking trail from Giant Forest, is 6,725 feet above sea level and more than 6,000 feet above the San Joaquin Valley floor. Scenic views of the Great Western Divide, especially at sunset, are the reward for reaching the top. A steep stairway with approximately 400 steps, inaccessible in winter, leads to the summit.
Note: Lightning storms may be a hazard in summer months.
