Grace Hudson Museum and Sun House, 431 S. Main St., is a complex that includes a historic house, a park and a museum of art, history and anthropology. The museum displays works by noted painter Grace Carpenter Hudson, who chose Pomo Indians as her subjects; a collection of Pomo Indian basketry; family artifacts and historical photographs; and varied rotating exhibitions. Sun House was the home of the artist, who lived there for 25 years before her death in 1937. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.

Hours: Museum open Wed.-Sat. 10-4:30 (also first Fri. of the month 4:30-8), Sun. noon-4:30. Free guided 30-minute tours of Sun House are available Wed.-Sun. noon-3 when staff is available. Closed major holidays.
