Weed Historic Lumber Town Museum is at 303 Gilman Ave. It chronicles Weed's history through exhibits and artifacts dating to the time of the lumber town's founding. Three rooms depict a typical 1900s kitchen, sewing room and bedroom, and visitors also can see two jail cells and the booking room. Items displayed include logging tools, a 1923 LaFrance fire truck, a homemade still and articles from a lumber company store and hospital.

Wed.-Mon. 10-5, Memorial Day weekend-Sept. 30; other times by appointment. Phone ahead to confirm schedule. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
