AAA Inspector Notes
Modern furnishings and lush grounds give this Mediterranean-style hideaway—a known celebrity refuge—an atmosphere that befits its storied history. A plush, comfy bed awaits in all guest rooms. More elaborate villas house a grand piano, fireplace and private screening room. The hotel boasts a collection of rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia, including photographs of artists during their stay at the property.
Smoke free premises. 152 units, some two bedrooms, efficiencies, kitchens and cottages. 2-3 stories (no elevator), interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).
Cons: There is no in room microwave oven. You have to call room service to have ice delivered to the room. The overall appearance of the hotel is run down. The elevator in the main lobby is out of service. They charge you for the internet/Wi-Fi connection.

Pros: Amazing mattress. Beautiful.
Gloss is in a big...
Pros: The grounds are gorgeous and the room was beautiful! Also the staff was friendly and very helpful.
Cons: We had breakfast in the restaurant and the service was incredibly slow! It took
over 20 minutes to a receive a menu which finally arrived and another 20 minutes to get coffee. Our waiter was not overly friendly and should not be working in a restaurant! Apparently they need more sraff who are QUALIFIED.
Our bed was inferior and a pillow top added and I think to disguise it. Pillows were mediocre.
Pros: Great hotel, nice atmosphere, location on sunset is on spot. Staff is very friendly and helpful. A hotel that is very relaxed and makes your stay feels like a home away from home. Will be back for sure.
The only hotel I'll ever...
Pros: Friendly & helpful staff. The restaurant setting is magical with a nice variety of dishes & excellent wine list. Superb room facilities like the bar area with basin & fridge (besides minibar). Haven't been to LA or the Sunset in nearly 20 years, it was good then but after all the renovations it's brilliant.
Pros: tv sucked and did not work
Pros: Great location just off Santa Monica Blvd.
Walking distance to shops, cafes and bars.
Very trendy hotel.
Cons: Junior suite was a little smaller than I expected.
Room over looked the pool and courtyard area so it was quite noisy.
Room not well soundproofed. Could hear people walking along the corridors and thru the courtyard.
A terrific hotel
Pros: A chic little oasis with gorgeous grounds right in the middle of West Hollywood. The restaurant is excellent but you are also within walking distance of the legendary Mel's Diner on Sunset.

Pros: Comfortable bed, lovely grounds, great food.
Cons: The smell in the main building - musty/damp. Tatty and depressing corridors and lift.
My new home in LA!
Pros: My initial room had a slight odor. The hotel staff took care of me- they moved me to a better room at no extra cost.
Cons: The bungalows and outdoor common spaces of the hotel are fab, as is the restaurant and location of the hotel.
The elevator and the hallways in the more contemporary part of the hotel are in desperate need of renovation.
Excellent location and celeb links...
Pros: Excellent location. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Standard rooms not of standard expected at the price. Funny stale smell to both corridor and rooms. Poor sound insulation.

We enjoyed a few cocktails at the Whiskey bar one night which was really chill. All the employees were super friendly and helpful.
