Calico Ghost Town Regional Park is at 36600 Ghost Town Rd. Calico was a booming silver-mining town from 1881 to 1896. When the price of silver dropped in 1895, the mines stopped producing and Calico became a ghost town. One-third of the buildings are original. Attractions include a 2-hour mine tour, mystery shack and train ride. The Lane House and Museum is furnished with period antiques. Gold panning, seasonal horseback riding, a 3-hour muleback tour and ghost tours of the mine or town are offered. Mountain bike and off-road vehicle trails are on the grounds.
Guided tours are available. Pets on leash are allowed. Camping is permitted. Food is available.
