Pros: I was scared that the staff would be really bad as I read the previous reviews. However, aside from some lost in translation moments with the front desk, all the staff we met everywhere else on the compound were nice. We had a problem with our TV the first night and they sent someone to fix it, so nice and efficient. Our room was spacious (#43) and clean. We loved that our little patio was facing away from the footpath. We loved the pool, though I'm not sure if it's cleaned that often. The food, although expensive compared to the regular fare you can get in the area, was pretty decent as well. Very close to El Panchan area...we followed the road and walked down to Don Muchos restaurant for lunch for a change of environment. You can tell that this resort is frequented by well-off Mexicans, probably from the city.
Cons: No breakfast included. Despite room being clean, there were little ants and stuff around our sink area, but we're in the middle of the jungle so little animals are to be expected. No wifi in the rooms, but you can get it if you walk to the computer room/ gift shop area. Also, don't buy the day tours at the tour desk in the hotel. We took the Palenque ruins + Misol Ha/Agua Azul full day package from elsewhere and got it for 200 pesos less.

Pros: Resort and surroundings are amazing. Great bungalows.
Cons: Tourist prices at the bar and restaurant. Bungalows have kind of a humid odor. (improved ventilation might help?)

Pros: Wonderful garden with huge tropical trees, animals (we spotted a 1 meter long iguana) and an amazing swimming pool. Half way between Palenque town and the ruins.

Pros: Facilities and pool..
Cons: The booking cost is 25% higher than making reservations directly with the hotel, booking does not include free breakfast and 10% of consumptions in room service and reserving directly with hotel does, waiters are rude..
