AAA Inspector Notes
This property appeals to guests looking for hip, urban-style accommodations. The lobby bar becomes quite lively at night when darkened lighting and dance music encourages socializing. Guest room desks have convenient electronic ports. The spacious patio allows guests to enjoy the seasonal good weather, and the restaurant is more of a grab-and-go station than a sit-down dining experience. Smoke free premises. 144 units. 5 stories, interior corridors. Bath: shower only.

Pros: The smoke alarm kept beeping starting in the middle of the night. Called down to the desk and there were no available rooms and no facilities on the premise to change the battery. I had to sleep with a pillow over my head to muffle the loud beeping noise
Cons: Find a better way to change the smoke alarm batteries so your guests aren't inconvenienced the entire night!

Pros: The staff were very responsive and friendly. I liked all the amenities that are standard to Aloft hotels, especially the convenience store downstairs and the nice design of the lobby and rooms.
Cons: Even though the hotel is one block from the convention center, the neighborhood is a little dicey. There's a strip club right next door. So as a woman traveling alone I didn't feel as comfortable walking in the evening as I would have liked. One of the two elevators was out most of the time I was there. The room was strangely dark, as there was no light in the hallway next to the closet. And the shade in my room was broken, which didn't help.

Pros:
Cons: Too far from airport if just need a place to sleep before departing Denver. Shuttle came for pickup way too infrequently after traveling all day. We waited 40 minutes. Other hotel vans appeared 3 times before ours arrived.
